Quick post, just to note my general loathing for Denuvo DRM in games. Both for the fact that it’s DRM generally, but more for the fact that it practically roots your PC, causing slow downs in the games it “protects”. Quotes for protects there, since a quick google will note the various cracked versions<\/a> that appear hours, days or occasionally weeks after release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, basically, I won’t buy these games under any circumstances, unless they choose to remove Denuvo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Strange Brigade.<\/li>
  2. Prey<\/li>
  3. Monster Hunter World<\/li>
  4. Yakuza Zero<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Props to Feral for releasing many Denuvo ridden games on Steam for Linux without Denuvo – including Dawn of War 3, various Total Warhammer titles and the Life is Strange series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Props also to Arkane Studios for recently updating both Dishonoured: Death of the Outsider and Dishonoured 2 and removing Denuvo in the process. I’ve really enjoyed both through Proton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    So yeah, publishers. If you’re listening (spoiler: they’re not), as a consumer, your precious and extremely expensive “anti-pirate” device not only doesn’t work in many cases, but also keeps consumers like me away from purchasing your content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
